We are seeking a Senior Non-Financial Risk Management Expert to support the development and implementation of non-financial risk management strategies across multiple business units. The role will focus on advising senior leadership on risk-related matters, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring effective risk controls are in place. You will play a key role in shaping risk policies and frameworks, providing actionable insights to stakeholders, and driving the organization’s strategic risk management agenda.

Responsibilities:

1. Risk Policy and Strategy:




• Contribute to and shape risk management policies in line with organizational goals, ensuring non-financial risks are integrated into strategic decision-making.


• Translate high-level risk objectives into actionable plans and guidelines for relevant departments.




2. Risk Analysis and Reporting:




• Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits, delivering comprehensive reports to senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.


• Monitor changes in the risk landscape and provide recommendations for addressing new challenges or opportunities.




3. Project Leadership:




• Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects related to risk management, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational priorities.


• Define project goals, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.




4. Independent Risk Evaluation:




• Provide independent evaluations of key risks, ensuring all operational, external, and internal factors are considered.


• Escalate high-risk issues to the appropriate governance bodies when necessary.




5. Advisory Role:




• Offer expert advice on complex risk scenarios, developing pragmatic solutions for mitigating potential non-financial risks.


• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing guidance on risk-related matters.




6. Risk Control and Governance:




• Ensure the consistency and quality of risk management processes across the organization, with a focus on continuous improvement.


• Oversee the development and implementation of risk frameworks, ensuring they meet the highest standards of governance.

• Proven experience in Non-Financial Risk Management.


• Strong analytical and project management skills.


• Ability to provide strategic advice and challenge existing practices when necessary.


• Fluency in Dutch required, a profiency in French/English is appreciated.


• Experience with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.


• A nice to have: Familiarity with DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act).
